Wesley McAllister and Deputy Sheriff Lewis Seth, assisted by military police from Aberdeen, on Oct. 5, ra'ded a speakeasy at Perryvflle and placed under arrest six men and two women. A large amount of wet goods was confiscated.While returning from the raid Deputy Seth had a narrow escape from serious injury. He was riding on the running board of a truck bringing the confiscated goods from the rpeakeasy at Perryville, and on Word Main street, Elkton, Richard Mulally, Jr., and John Franks rantheir horse on the wrong side of thetrue1-IV.Seth was knocked from the»0.0.i0.'0.0..0.0.0.0.werinentensrunning board and the horse fell on him. It was at first thought he was seriously Injured, but luckily such was not the case, although badly bruised and shaken up. Police Justice Lewis fined Mulally and Franks each $25 and costs foi drunkenness and reckless driving.Those arrested at Parryville and taken to the county jail were Ni-chola Palazza, Henry Salvatori, Ca-coroni Cormilo, Joseph Dalbenze.
