Seek identity of bodies foundin Lead areaLEAD, S.D. (AP) — Lawrence County authorities are investigating the possibility that one of three bodies found near Lead Monday may be that of a Rapid City, S.D. girl who has been missing since August.Authorities did not release the name of the girl, who was last seen at a motorcycle rally near Sturgis, S.D.The other two bodies were identified as Vicki Scholl, 15 and Debbie Frey, 17, both of Carver, Minn.Attorney General Mark Meierhenry said that a search was being conducted for any possible information although no suspects have been tken into custody.“In an atrocious crime like this, we re not going to limit it to anywhere and 1 assume that all avenues are being checked,” said Meierhenry. “Because two of the young people are from outside the state, it's very typical investigatory technique to find out about these people and see if there could be any connection with the Black Hills.” Both state and federal law enforcement agencies are working on the case.Lawrence County State’s Attorney Craig Grotenhouse said that a Rapid City pathologist. Dr T.E. Henry, performed autopsies on the victims Monday night. He declined to release details.A law enforcement official who asked not to be identified said that the girls were shot, and that the unidentified -girlmay have been killed a month before the other two.
