Friday, October 17, 1975THE TIMES HERAUlster deputizes 26for Halloween patrolBy PETER KUTSCHERA Staff WriterNAPANOCH - The Ulster County Sheriff’s Dept, is deputizing 26 local residents — many of them guards at Eastern Correctional Facility — in preparing for expected troublemaking by youthful trick or treaters here on Halloween.The move, prompted at the request of the Wawarsing Town Board, is aimed at preventing a reoccurence of vandalism last year by a crowd of young personshouse to arraign anyone arrested.
