He is charged with first degree murder.Ethel, orie of the children, told the Jury she saw her father place his shotgun on the window sill and fire the fatal shot as he Jtood outside the house. Pellets from the charge also wounded her and another ihild but did . not touch the baby Mrs. Edney was dressing.The state called 12 witnesses today and was nearing completion of its case. Four or these witnesses, In addition to the child, said they saw Edney with his brother, Clarence, steal around the comer of the house, push the curtains of a window aside with his gun andfire.The witnesses were neighbors and were working in a nearby field at the time.Other witnesses for the state totifled they heard Eaney threaten his wife, her father E.
