The popular skepticism with which lt;* \ -erytliing savoring of the occult is always regarded caused the affair to be generally looked upon as a frame up of some clever sort, planned for I lie single purpose of giving Miss Tangley some free advertising. There are. however, a number of intelligent people, who have no particular interest in the matter, who believe tin- woman actually did what she claimed. That the papers were found is. not disputed. The description of them and their contents in the News's story of yesterday was so complete that little rajt be added to it. The belief that the papers were carried to the spot where they were found together with a quantity of garbage from Hie hotel is supported by the fact that u Palace hotel key tab was uncovered among the trash near where the yellowish parcel was brought to light.
