Haselwood and J W Baxter, who remowed the bullet and it is thought she will recover unless complications appearConflicting stories were told regard* ing the manner in whioh Mrs. Ham was wounded, but it seems to have been ■elf inflicted, but whether wi.h suicidal intent or accidentally is not known although the woman claims she accidentally shot herself.The couple had quarreled on several oooasions, the enbjeot of the fusses Beem ing to be the yonog son of Ham by a former marriage. Yesterday afternoon Ham and his father, James Ham, were at tbe house and after a quarrel Hamstarted to leave. Hie father had reached•tbe street and Ham was at the gate when a shot was fired. Ham oalled to his father and before they reaohed the house a second shot was fired and they found Mrs Ham lying on the bed.The physioians were oalled and Mrs. Ham was removed to the hospital, where tbe wound was dresssd. She told Police Sergeant G. W. MoOulloeh and Prosecuting Attorney W. V. Bnlliet that she was attempting to remove the cartridges from the. revolver when the hammer caught in her dress and caused the first shot.
