Coppes, 46, of Whittier, identified the two men as the robbers who took his wallet and his wife’s purse outside a Montebello restaurant Feb. 14.He said the men were armed with knives, one a switchblade, and they took his car keys, but dropped tliem on the parking lot so he could drive home.Some of the contents of Coppes’ wallet were recovered later from the defendants' homes, deputy district attorney Harold Prukop told the jury in = his opening slatemcnl.The faiaLrobheries netted a total of about $300.
