Large Gang of Indiana Counterfeiters Captured.Jndia.kapoi.is, Oct. 13.—A large gang of counterfeiters was arrested in Tipton last night and brought to this -city to-day by the sheriff of Tipton county. About a year ago a man named Hobbs gave information to the secret service of the existence of a -gang ot counterfeiters 111 Tipton county, and a detective was sent there by the Government to work up tfte case, which resulted in the arrest of the following parties last night and today, under the direction of Special Agent James Small: Jacob Masters, Gbristopher A. Masiers, William Shope, Jacob B. Johnson, A. A. Smith, Jasper 2T. Wright, George Bing, Joseph F. Small, Charles Booth, John T. Small, and Lorenzo Haworth. The3e men were brought to the city i at noou to-day, and lodged in jail. Two days ago Special Agent Rath-bone and Detectives Knock and Hobbs arrested James Campbell, Harvey Gerpaster and William Criill. members of the same gang, who were on a train going to Logansporfc. These men were brought to this city ank kept secretly. John King, a saloon,keeper in this city, was also arrested to-day. Most of the captives are residents of Tipton county. United States Marshal Foster and the Deputy Sheriff of this city assisted in making the arrest.
