Finding that she had given no check to Bruce and that he owed her tor boai*d and room Keizerstein denounced the forger, Heat first attempted to deny the charge*but as soon as possible left the store.The police were at once notified but it is thought the man left on a freight train. Bruce came to Mrs. Bailey’s, who conducts a boarding house on East Franklin street, several days ago and obtained a room* He was hunting work, he said. It is now thought he is a professional forger and intended to work the game as long as possible In this city. His prompt dectection resulted in his leaving town before swindling anyone so far as known.
