Fred Angel. ire ii a iii the courtv Jail withthe grave lt;lw*rg« of murder hanging over their heads. |John Black, hia wife and Ira De Long went out to Camp creek to nranch belonging to Black last Frld t\fter eating meat prepared by Mrs. Black, both were taken nick, evidently having been poiaoaed, and It waa sup ! poaed It was owing to some Impure ; canned goods Delong has nearly recovered, but Black had to be brought to town. After being In town a con-11 pie of daya he w aa removed to hit -I home near Salesvillc. A doctor visited him once or twice and yesterday discovered evidences in hi* patient condition which made him bellexd Black was being poisoned. He commu n lea ted with Black's brother and together they Anally forced Mrs Blac k to bring him to town. She ar* rived In the city after dark and took him to a common lodging house known hh the Central beer hall, and for some reason sent for another doc tor. who. when he came, saw Black was-in a dying condition. He knew about Black s case and ordered him taken to the Chambliss sanitarium.which, in spite* of protests on the partof Mrs Black was done, and she wasthen told that her presence was imtneeded. Not long afterwards. In spite of ae efforts of two doctors. Black died.Soon after his death. Dr Chambliss informed the sheriff and police ami they went to the Central beer hall and found Fred Angel and Mrs. BUm k asleep in adjoining rooms. He arrested them and placed them in Jail.Fred Angel and Mrs. Black have bee n very Intimate for some time and have been together e ver since the poiseining occurred a week agoNo autopsy has been held yet. owing to Dr. Chambliss l« lag absent from town, but probably it and th*» Inquest w ill be held to-morrow. wh*n more developments may lie forthcoming.From the rapidity with which thebody is changing color there is little reason to doubt that murder has bsencommitted.Black was iiiottt SS years of age was born In Missouri and came to Montana In Dili and has resided \t, this valley the greater part of the time since that date. He Is reputed to have left an estate of not less than950.000, which his wife was evidentlyanxious to get her hands on.
