About 4 o’clock yesterday morning it awakened the mother by crying, butsoon went hack to sleep.When the mother awakened at 7:30 o clock yesterday morning she found the infant dead. She informed her mother, who attempted to restore life by rubbing and bathing, but no avail.Witnesses were placed on the stand who testified that upon entering the Walker horns and viewing the child shortly after its death, they found black and blue spots on both sides of its neck and on the bock No reason for such bruises were given by the relatives of the child except that it had been Injured at birth. Dr, Barry of this city, who was the attending physician, denied having injured the child.The father, Bert Hamilton, who lives I in Webb City, said that he did not know much about the child, but whenhe visited the Walkers at their home in this city Thursday night it appeared to be in good health. Hamilton, according to local police authorities, wasarrested six months ago and fined ina justice court for having attempted to force a child to drink whiskey.The inquest was held in the parlors of the Webb City Undertaking Company by Coronsi1 a r Snyder.
