UTILE FLOSSIE...'Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brown Kidnap Own Child.* AWENTTOGREENCASTLEFound Little Girl at School House— Family Had Taken Child to Itntoe When Mr. Brown Lost Fyesight—No Legal Claim.Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brown wont to Grecncastle, Sunday evening, with the express intention of bringing home their little daughter, Flossie, who had lived at the homo of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fry since early infancy. They knew that the Frys objected to their gaining possession ol the little girl, and they were resolved to kidnap her. This they did.early yesterday morning. They went to tlie school house, where the child attended school, and asked for her, but were told that she had not yet arrived. Mrs. Brown watched, and presently saw her coming along with other children. Without experiencing any difficulty they took the little lass into the buggy they had provided and made their way to the inter-urban station and boarded a car for Indianapolis. When they arrived in the Capital City they telephoned back to the Fry home, saying that they had the little girl and were going to keep her.Mr. Fry cairn* to Conncrsvllle yesterday. He talked with lawyers about the case, and will proceed legally in an effort to regain possession of the little girl If he can.The child who is the Innocent one or this contention is about six years of age. When but a little babe Mr. and Mrs. Fry, who are distantly related to Mrs. Brown, took her to raise. That was not long after Mr. Brown had lost his eyesight in an accident. He and his wife were seen by a News representative today, and tliey say that last spring they besought Mr, and Mrs. Fry to return their child to them, as they wert prepared to care for her properly and were anxious to do so. They obtained no satisfaction, and at Iasi they determined to got the child by the means which they carried into execution yesterday. They say the Frys never had any legal claim tc the little girl, and that they had nc right to detain her against the will of her parents. With this state of affairs it is not believed that Mr. Fry will bo able to make any headway at all should ho try to gain custody of the child again.
