5. That on the 26th day of July, 1998, John Jordan, Edward Scarborough aod JoboRembert were arrested, tried and convictedbefore G- M. Barrett, Magistrate, under a warrant issued by him agaiast them for assault and battery, and under senteoce paidover to said Magistrate as does ten dollars by John Jordan, and five dollars eacb by Ed-wrrd Scarborough aod Joho Rembert, of which only fourteen dollars was entered by-said Magistrate upon his docket aod turned over to the Ccuoty Treasurer; and that sis dollars of said fine was unlawfully appropriated by said Magistrate to bis own use ic violation of Sections 225 sod 327 of theCriminal Statutes, and that John Jordan, Edward Scarborough, Jobo Rembert, Bod Simoa, Amos Slater, L. Rembert Dixon, H. L Scarborough and Jobo D. Bradford, are witnesses to prove the same.The Grand Jury ask that such members cf the Grand Jury as have rendered extra services upon the committees above referred to,be paid tbe satre per diem and mileage as ia paid for regular attendance.Tbe Grand Jury having employed A. 3.
