ence.Thompson’a Trial.Most of the Pioneer readers will remember the sudden flight of W. H. Thompson, a very prominent and prosperous attorney of this city,about the first of last May. His whereabouts have been unkuowu until last Saturday, when a telegram to Prosecutor Charlton announced that he had been arrested by the detectives at Toledo, O. A requisition was obtained from the Governor, and Deputy Sheriff Cobb started after the pris- | oner Sunday, arriving here with him Tuesday afternoon. The chargeagainst Thompson is embezzlement and larceny, and the authorities propose to give him the lull benefit of the law.
