The girl said that she was a daughter of C. R. King, a hardware dealer, of Thompson, Pa..I a small town near Susquehanna.Chief MeCoach telegraphed to Mr. King bui receiving no answer up to f o’clock Friday and it being believedjthat the ends of justice would be) equally as well served as though she were sent to prison, the poor authorities of the city purchased a ticket toSusquehanna for tin* girl. The girl was very glad to get our of the hands of the* police and lefttin* city willingly.This morning Chief MeCoach received the following letter from C. It. King, in answer to the telegram the chief sent Friday:Thompson, Fa., Oct. M, 1908.1. I . MeC cb —Kind Sir—The girl you telegraphed about is not my daughter and no relative of mine.
