Maria Moreno, charged with mur-de». The jury brought in a verdict of manslaughter. About four month® ago the shot and instantly killed her sixteen yea: o\d brother for no provocation whatever. She had been dis sipating for some little time and keeping bad company. Her brother was expostulating with bar when she took offense and killed him as above stated. The jury recommended her to the mercy of the court. The evidence went to prove that she was weak minded aa aro also her younger brothers and sisteri. She received a sentence of one year and one month.
