October S, 19SICARL WILLIAM (CHARLIE) OESSNER December 13,1917 September25,1990 •Peacefully, with his family byhis side,, and with courage and dignity, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother left this world on Tuesday morning, September 25, 1990 at the Selkirk District General'fitgMMIsV -’** .Charlie was born on December 13, 1917 in St. Andrews, Man. and there with his wife Joyce, who he married in February 1951, farmed and raised a family. Charlie was an integral part of the St. Andrews Community, having served on the St. Andrews School Board from 1957-1967 and as Chairman of the Board for the opening of the new school in 1965, the Selkirk General Hospital Board and of course, serving his beloved church, Old St.Andrews-on-the-Red as a vestrymember, Minister’s Warden,People’s Warden and ‘UI?lvcrs^ uncle’ to all children of the con-gf Charlie was a ca.ing and generous person who ’ouchf~the lives of many. He will beremembered with great admiration respect for his kind andpatient ways. He especially en joyed the 20 years he drove school bus in the St. Andrewsand Lord Selkirk School Divisions and cherished he many memories of all the children. He also loved the many years farming with hisbrother Albert.Besides his beloved wife Joyce of 39 years, ‘Sonny’ leaves tocherish his memory his three daughters. Debbie and husband Ken Buckingham, Shelley and husband John King, Cindy and husband Don Boss; grandchildren, Alexa Buckinghamand Jason King. Charlie is alsosurvived by brothers, Arthurand wife Peggy, Albert and wife Audrey, sisters, Katie Gessner and husband John, Emily Cole,law Frances Gessner Rhoda Ridley, brothers-tn-law, AlbertRidley and wife Rillau*n|J.Ridley; also numerous nieces,nephews, cousins and man^sur-'HfwaTSred«eased by hisbrother Jack°and brotherdn-lawA1A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 29,1990 at 1 p m. m theAndrews-on-the-Red Ang'£fChurch with Rev.
