J. Monahan, Friday, at Cleveland, on charges of smuggling. .? ' .Following the seizure of the men and their craft at Huron, they were brought to* Sandusky where they were turned over to Sheriff Cole for the night, the power boat and contents being guarded by the crew of the coast guard cutter CG-120.Early Thursday morning the captured boat and the prisoners were taken to Cleveland by the crew of the CO-120 where, after being questioned by federal of-ficals, the men were lodged in the county jail, pending their arraignment, Friday. Bocal customs officials claim that Wednesday night's haul was-the largest ever taken along the lake shore.The boat and its load of contraband was confiscated by the government.At approximately the same time the above haul was made, Sheriff Harry B. Cole- and Deputy Frank Towsley made a smaller haul at Huron, Jay Shorts of Cleveland was arrested and nine bags of Canadian beer were confiscated from an old barn said to have- been used as a depot by rum runners. After a long wait Towsley nabbed the man as he left the barn, and, on searching the place, found the beer. Three motor cars and a truck were parked not far from the barn, according to the sheriff.WIBBARD, Oct. 8—(Special )-i~ The campaign for funds for a Willard city nurse will be put on next Monday, October 12.It is planned to put the drive across in one day. The committee wants $2.00 from each family and if this is given the $2,000 needed for the nurse will be provided easily, it* is believed. The county will contribute $500 more if the money is raised and the marsa employed by the year,. A nurse will be hired at once. *RECOVERSAlleged Victim of Poison Booze Leaves Hospital.' r*Otto Nottke, of Bellevue, who collapsed in Gallegher Brothers* store, Thursday afternoon, after announcing that he was poisoned,was sufficiently recovered to beable to return to his home early Friday evening, after being treated at Good Samaritan hospital, where he was rushed in the Andres ambulance.Nottke was treated by Dr. C. A. Schimansky and although apparently in a serious condition when rushed to the hospital, responded quickly to treatment.
