A thief entered Mrs. Clint. Taylor's residence at Cedar Lake last Friday and stole a check for $100 on the bank here, a suit of clothes, a double-bar* relied shot gun and several other articles. The fellow, after committing the theft stayed all night with Rosen-baur at the Lake and the next morning left, going toward St. Johns. Deputy Sheriff Farley got after him and captured him at St. Johns about 10 o'clock Saturday, and he was brought here and jailed His case / was tried, in the Circuit Court on Monday and his punishment fixed a,t onevear in the nenitentiarv. i
