Pardon Board Also LiberatesIWendell Bank Robber to Stand Trial For MurderBOISE, Oct. 7 (JFi—Prison Ratos will open December 8 to release Miss Viola Lowe, serving a sentence ior | forging a series of orders ior warrants on Twin Falls school district* funds.The state board of pardons today commuted to 11 months her-sentence of 1 to 14 years which followed the trial in Twin Falls at which it was reported losses from forgeries in the district had mounted to about $15,-000.Her mother and sister appeared before the board to appeal for her release, asserting she was a victim of circumstances'* and was not guilty of Uie crime.Clemency ”Vrof a different kind was granted TSrl Ross, alias Earl Relcl. Against his will his sentence was commuted and ho was immediately released to SI. Louis officers who took him to the Missouri city, heavily manacled, to face a charge ofshooting to death a policeman In the course of a pool hall robbery two years ago. Three companions Implicated in the case were sentenced to life imprisonment.Ross was serving a sentence in the Idaho prison for robbery of the First National bank, Wendell, last summer. His release was granted by the board only on assurance of the Missouri authorities that they had an air tight case against him and expected the death sentence.
