Chief of Police Metzger instructed the humane inspector Thursday to be on the outlook for a religious sect calling them' selves “The Church of Alpha.” The members of the “church,” it is said, started from Springfield, O., for Indianapolis. They will not ^e permitted to remain here. It is said that ghostly ceremonies with attempts to raise the dead and fantastic incantations to transfer the soulsof living people into animals, are features of the nightly meetings.
