Captain Pierre and his men made twoearly morning raids at 2 o'clock. A strangercame into the police station about midnight)and gave it out that lie had been robbed atMary Strotise's place on North Second street.Captain Pierce took his lieutenants andwent to the place in question. There have been several complaints against the inmates of this house of late and without ceremony the police raided it. They found Cora Kintz. Mary Gardner and Mary St rouse. They all went to jail.The next place visited was that kept by Samantha Hicklin on South Second street between Main and Ohio. This is a colored joint and here the blue coars found Samantha Hicklin. Maud Statoq. Bertha Brown, inmates, and Robert Myers, Robert Dean and Brftt Artist, chronic associates. This outfit was also jailed.
