Special attention in called to the raac of Sara Jewett, a beautiful and popular actress of New York, who has been utterly•ruined in mind and body by the use of the drug. Her friends have tried in vain to nave her and the gifted woman ha* at la«*t become an object of charity. These vile den* of Oriental vice should be awept out of existence while they are in their incipient stage of evil.
