*- INTENT TO ROB BANKt ADMITTED BY QUARTET: FROM CREAM CAN GANG' St. Paul—W)—Four men, dubbed; the “cream can” gang by authori-- ties, pleaded guilty in federal court yesterday to charges of entering the State Bank of Sargeant, Minn., with intent to commit robbery. Sentence was deferred to Oct. 27 to permit investigation by probation officers.The four, surprised by officers during the bank robbery attempt May 17 and captured after a gun-fight, are Edward Mrozik of Little Falls, Minn.; John Specht, alias Morrell, alias Monreau, of Duluth, Minn'.: John Howard, alias Rigsby, of Minneapolis; and Virgil Dolli-mer, alias Millner, of Winona.The capture followed a series of bank raids over a period of a year in small communities in Minnesota and nearby states. The “cream can” gang was so named from its use of cream cans to carry water ( lo cool burglar tools. Almost in- , variably the cans were left at the | scenes of the raids.
