—-‘Jack” Kitson, of Syracuse, the man who is under bonds for his appearance at court to answer a charge of rape upon his own daughter, has mysteriously disappeared, the Goshen Democrat says. He has always asserted his innocence, and claimed that enemies were endeavoring to rain him, and recently got into a quarrel with some of these, at Syracuse. He left the Island after night, soon after which shots were heard in that direction, since when Kitson has not been seen. Some think he has been murdered, while others hink that he has “skipped” the country.
