SEALY MAN TAKESHIS LIFE AFTERWOUNDING WIFE(Sealy News.)A deplorable tragedy odcured in Sealy last Friday evening about 6:30 when Frank A. Drozd, well known gftizen, shot his wife twice with a 32. pistol and then ended his own life by firing a bullet into his head. Mrs. Drozd was in the barnyard milking the cows at the time of the shooting. One shot took effect in the breast and the other in the back. She was removed to the Sealy Hospital, where she was treated until the following morning, when she was carried to the Methodist Hospital in Houston.Mr. Drozd died almost instantly. Justice E. E. Kastrop was called immediately and held the inquest, his verdict being suicide. Many who had conversed with Mr. Drozd just prior to the tragedy believed him to be suffering with atype of insanity and he appeared to be deeply worried.Mr. Drozd was bom in Rex-ville, Texas, December 17, 1884, but moved to Sealy when quite young and has resided here ever since. Later on he owned a grocery store, and from time to time was engaged in various other business enterprises. He Was a member of the Sons of, Herman and the Immaculate Conception Church of this city.Deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs, Mary Drozd; three daughters, Josephine, Frances and Margaret, of Sealy; two sons, Willie and Edwin of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Oldag and Mrs. Annie Sliva of Sealy; four grandchildren and many other relatives.Funeral services were held a’t the family residence, with Rev. C. J. Kune of the Catholic Church officiating. Members of the Sealy Choral Club rendered the music. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery. The following were pall bearers: Messrs. Joe Pyka Sr., W.
