Agent.1Murder at MoorcsvilleFrom Satnrelay’s Daily,Coroner Henderson received the following telegram at 5:0S thi8 evening.Mooresville, Mo., Oct 3.—Jared Bashford was fiilled by Robert Hargrave near, here tc-day. Conic forth with and hold inquest.(signed) J. M. Barron.Later:—Hargrave was arrested late Saturday evening at his home near MooreBville by Constable Comstock and brought here and placed in jail- Hargrave expressed no regret at his action, he claiming that Bashford had often attempted to seduce his little 7 year old daughter. The evidence at the coroners inquest went to show that Bashford called at Hargrave’s house to buy some tobacco. Bashford asked the little girl, of Hargrave's, where her Pa was, and was told that he was inthe house. At this time Hargrave rushed out and fired at Bashford with a rifle, the ball hitting him in the left breast. Bashford ran and Hargrave fired twice more, hitting Bashford each time. Bashford. ran home, about 300 yards distant and fell, dying shortly afterwards. Before dying, Bashford made a statement as above. Judge Broaddus has ordered a special grand jury for the purpose of investigating the matter at this term of court.Work will commence to-morrow on paving Washington street.Oar street commiss ioner is doing 3ome good woik on our streets to-
