Marie Williams, on Sept. 16 — six days after he was last seen.Williams reported she last saw him whenhe left their 307W O'Hea St. home at around 6:30amShe said he walked to the corner of Union and Poplar streets, where he picked up his car, and then went to a service station at Delesseps and NelsonBolivar hires firmto develop plansfor jail facilitiesBy DEBBIE INGRAM LONGDelta Democrat TimesCLEVELAND - After a lengthy executive session, Bolivar County Supervisors voted to take the recommendation of ClevelandCPA Danny Barfield and hire a Boulder, Colo., planning firm to develop plans for a new correctional facility for the county.The firm of Voorhis/RobertsonJustice Services was hired Thursdav at a rate of S500 a day.Williams added that his beeper had gone off before he left He made a phone call, then left when the unknown person who was supposed to bring him his car didn’t show up.He talked to his parole officer on Friday, but Williams said she has not seen or heard from him since.She said he left his favorite watch and his clothes, making it seem to her that he would not be gone for an extended period of time.Spratlin said that Washington was entered as a missing person on the National Crime Information Center computer on Sept. 20, but so far there has been no information in returnWilliams said her son was wearing green dickies, a pair of black and white tennis shoes, awhite T-shirt and a baseball capShe said that he has no birthmarks and has an earring in his left ear. She was not sure whether he was wearing an earring when he left.His mother said that Washington has never stayed away from home for such a long period of time, adding that he usually calls her regularly to inform her of hiswhereabouts.Williams and Spratlin urged anyone who has seen Washington or knows of his whereabouts to call the police department at 378-1525 or 378-1515.Washington is a black male of medium complexion with short hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs around 190 pounds.
