MORDECAI WELCH AGAIN FREEMan Who Burglarized Norwalk Saloon Finish eg WorkhouseSentence.Mordecal w elch, the young man whoon the night of April 27, burglarizedthe Lorain saloon on East Main street, and who, after having remained in jail until May 29, was sentenced by Judge Alexander, of the common pleas court, to pay a fine of $50 and the costs, and to serve thirty days in the Toledo workhouse, to stand committed until both fine and costs wrere paid, was released from the workhouse Thursday afternoon. Although his sentence was for only thirty days, it took Welch ninety-four additional daya to work out the fines and costs.As soon as he was released from the workhouse Thursday afternoon,Welch returned to Norwalk.
