District Attorney Files Complaint Against Hung. Jick i Second to Be Brought in Connection With Prosecution-A complaint charging1 Hung Jick, a defense witness; with perjury in -connection with the ,trial of Lee Ylfik, convicted of murder in the first degree for having given the orders to kill Fook Kec here on the evening of June-.?; was sworn' out yesterday by District Attorney E. TV. Gearhart after a study of transcripts of testimony in the case. This is the second perjury charge to 'be placed in the trial of Chinese far the Fook Kee murder. The other was Frederick V. Coggshall, a defense witness lit the. Wong Toy case, • ' ......Whett Wong. Toy was brought, into court to stand trial .for murder on July 5, ho presented an affidavit asking for a continuance. In this affidavit he muted that it was necessary for him to locate govern 1 witnesses would would testify that Toy was in the Huoy On-, Clyhrooms ai 'lOia China Alley during and after the shooting of Kee. Among these ■witnesses was included tho namo of Jick.At the-trial of Lee Tick. .Jick was called to the- witness stand. Ho testified that he was at 1009% China alley at the time Lee Nan was stabbed and during the shooting. He testified that he followed Tick around on that evening, that he did not hear Tick give any orders for the. killing of any Bing Kong meth and that tijcy played cards in 1009China alley ull evening.District Attorney Gearhart confronted JJelt with two witnesses, asking him if he was not at 915 China alley from 8:15 p. m. until after the shooting on June 7. • Jick denied the allegation.Gearhart stated last night that he has located at least six witnesses who can testify that Jick was in 915 China lt;ilicy on tlxat evening playing cards.' Two of these witnesses were in the game and the others were lounging about the rooms. -Jick has not yet be apprehended •by the police but hie whereabouts arc known to them. His arrest is expected at any time.Coggshalt, the Toy case witness, is-now out on ball’ waiting the filing of information in the superior court. Gearhart stated that with the cases practically cleaned up. the prosed;-lions of these men will be undertaken in a short time.
