It developed later that he spent this money In an Owatonna saloon, with his ' Greek friends, and bragged about how“easy the authorities here were to give it to him.Because of Allen’s messages, a po^ lice car was sent out to patrol the Jefferson Highway in the Kensett-Northwood vicinity, as it was at Ken-sott that it was said the booze car would turn west and leave the main road to come into Mason City by a1 by-road. |Shortly after supper another message came from Allen that the men would not start out until about 8:30, and another later that they would load up just after the Owatonna sa-loona closed at 10 p. m.
