A novel law suit occurred at Lancaster on Saturday. Charles Pott* sued Peter Tally for a carpenter's square worth twenty-tive cents, before Justice Van Horn, the former being represented by acolored attorney. The suit resulted indefeat for Tally, who was fined and of-deri d to pay the costs, the total amounting to $1025.
