Teen sex offender withdraws registry requestA Reno County teenager who sought to use a new law to remove his name and photo from the Kansas Offender Registry has withdrawn his request.Nathan Slack, who was convicted in 2005 of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, filed a notice this week that he no longer plans to seek relief from his previous sentence -which required his registration as a sex offender for five years. The hearing was originally scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today in front of Reno County Juvenile Judge Patricia Macke Dick. Slack sought relief from registration under a new law passed by the Kansas Legislature this summer that reversed an earlier law requiring all juvenile offenders to register.
