Circuit Court,—This court, Judge Miles presiding, has been in session since Tuesday of Inst week. An unusual number of criminal cases appear on the docket. The following cases have been disposed of:The People vs. Seymour Bentley—for fareeny, stealing a horse; found guilty and sentenced to State pi-ison 4 years.The People vs. Jesse Bayncr—fot larceny, stealing horse; found guilty—sent to Slalo prison 2 years. • The People vs. John Sficrun—for assault and battery, with intent to kill; sentencfp, 7 years in State prison.The People vs. Qsmtif—for arson; foundguilty of hiring a man to set firo to Empire House; judgment suspended, as no proof-appear-od that the man intended to burn the house—carded to Btiprcme court.
