E. Craig, the county agent, is endeavor* ing to put McEwen under peace bonds was heard before' Special Judge of the city court, Fred Grimmer yesterday,the case being brought to a halt about 6:30 o’clock last evening . when the prosecution and defense finished presenting their evidence to the court. The evidence disclosed by witnesses J. H. Hay hurst'of Lowell, a special policeman at the fair grounds. Miss Margaret Etllng, T. J. MusaaU, Walter Breyfofle and Walter Beck, all employed in various capacities at the late fair, that MeBw;n practices much lip abuse toward the. fair secre* tary calling him several uncomplimentary nanfes and threatened to get his hide.”.The witnesses said thj last remark was made on' threeseparate occasions, once at the stand of McEwen’s, at the fair grounds, another time in the ticket offlo«r and again in the prose* color's office.
