Murder trial verdict awaitedA Butler County Comman Pleas Court jury was continuing deliberations late this morning in the murder trial of a 37-year-old Monroe man.Marion Adkins, 40 K. Elm St., Monroe, is charged with the June 23 shooting death of Eugene Woodard, 33, 1932 Wilhraham Hoad, Middletown, at the Point Cafe, 2000 Yankee Hoad in Middletown.The jury, which begandeliberations about 3 p.m. Tuesday, was sent home by Judge “Arthur J. Fichrcr alter about three hours and returned to resume deliberations this morning.Testimony in the hvo-day trial indicated the shooting stemmed from a fight that developed over a-bowling machine game at the cafe.According to testimony, a bullet struck two people in the bar before hitting the victim in Hie chin.
