Will Woods,| another man at the home of England I at the time of the tragedy,I “snapped at,” and probably owes his I'life to the fact that the cartridge [ failed to explode.From best information obtainable,1 it seem* that Dr. Crow, Yates and L Woods had gone to the England home I to move England and his .family to I the Crow farm, ft' appears that the 1 men were all seated around a table,I* presumably being at supper. He lived in this county for a long time near Dan-| vile, was reared there, though later [ took up his residence near Basham ! Gap, where he had lived since. He I owned a farm there.Yates, the other dead man, also i lived near Bashm Gap, and was wdll known in that section.I Up to a late hour Thursday Eng-I land had not been arrested* though I -deputies were making the.fr way to | the scene of the • trouble, and were j anticipating further trouble, it wassaid.Today it was learned that Dr. Crow was in the offido of Probate Judge P Troup late Tuesday afternoon, talk-[ ing over a matter of disagreementI between himslf and a tenant on theCrow farm the present year.
