MBut' Rumor Has It That Arrests Will Be Made Before Night.theA persistent rumor was onstreet last night that three North.#Salem Bank officials had been indicted by the grand jury, which adjourned Tuesday. No authentic information has been given out, as the necessary papers had not; been completed by the county clerk this mjoraing. Sheriff Clark said that no warrants had come to him, and Prosecutor Hume refused to verify or refute the stories.According to these reports, JosephB. Fleece, Charles W. Davis and Miss • • .Lottie Davis have been indicted in connection with the North Salern^ Bank failure. It is further rumored that two indictments were returned against each, in general the charge being a conspiracy to defraud. There have been so many rumors in connection with the North Salem affair that it is well to await developments before full credence is given to these reports.Mr. Fleece was assxstant-cashier of the North Salem Bank for many years. Mr. Davis was president of the institution and Miss Davis was the bookkeeper. She is now employed in the same capacity with the North Salem State Bank.According to reports, arrests onthe grand jury indictments will bemade this afternoon or tomorrow.... *When these pdpers are served it will become known whether [the indictments were all based .on the North Salem,affair, or whether they arose from misdemeanors in some other part of the county. *
