Prout andThomas Morrissey, charged with robbing the American Express, in Chicago, of $40,000, on the 0th inst., were arraigned before Justice Brown on Monday forenoon for preliminary examination. The brothers Prout were held for trial at the Recorder’s Court in bonds of $25,000 each, and in the case of Morrissey,in consideration of his ill health, the bail was reduced to $15,000.
