Nov. 20 L?—A 63-y ear-old Erie laborer drew a 6 to 12 year prison term today for the Aug-. 4 hatchet-slaving of his wife.Joseph Barletta was convicted by a jury last Saturday of voluntary manslaughter in the slaying of his 53-year-old wife, Aussunta.The slaying climaxed a family argument. Barletta claimed be hit his wife in self defense after she rushed him with a hammer.
