Jim Green and Earl Horton cases, held on indictments for murder in connection with the fatal shooting of Jack Coker, continued Thursday afternoon with the hearing of several witnesses. Jones, local national guardsmen, Willie Johnson, known in Corsicana as “Cadillac Red.” Police Sergeant Alien Calloway, Hucile Harris and Homer V. (Curly) May. The Jayce negro testified he was walking east on Fifth avenue and heard five or six shots fired behind him, that he saw a car pull into Fifth street as lie turned the corner. About the time of lieai^ ing the shooting there was also loud talking, lie said. “This was all behind me,” The lad said there were two groups of shots, and at hearing the first his attention was attracted and lie turned around and the second group fired. While there he testified seeing a red looking car drive up hv him and turn east and then south on Ninth street.
