SocialBelmont, Nov. 20.—Patrick Reynolds, a young man and son of Hugh Reynolds of Ward, has been declared insane and turned over to Superintendent Grander to be Bent to Willard asylum. He formerly worked for F. B. Keeney at Belvidere but has been at work inthe Ohio oil fields until a few weeks♦ago when he returned home. On Thursday of last week his brothers hired a two seated Burrey of C. L. Slafter for the family to use to attend the funeral of their uncle. Peter Reynolds on the following day. Sometime during Thursday night Patrick went to the barn with an axe and nearly ruined the surrey, doing damage estimated at $50. Drs. Witter and Barney examined him Tuesday and decided that it was not safe to allow him to be at large. Mr. Grander went to Buffalo and procured an order from court to have him sent to the asylum. It has been suspected for some time that he was a little off, but no such serious outbreak was anticipated.
