J(Sftctil t# The Times.)CROWN POINT, IND., Nov. 20.—The state cases against James McEwen,alias Jack Burke, Cedar Lake saloon* keeper, charged with carrying conceal* ed weapons and breaking the peace, In which County Agent Craig and former secretary of the Lake county fair, appears as prosecuting witness, were continued today until Friday, November 26 on motion of the attorneys for the defense.Inability to gather all his witnesses on a Saturday was alleged In the motion for a continuance by the law Arm of Knight and Brown, who represent Burk. The motion was made late Friday afternoon before Special Judge Fred Grimmer, who is to sit in the case. It is expected Burk will ask for a jury trial.
