The Board of Prison Directors Hold a meeting at Sail Quentin last Saturday and Attorney J. T. Campbell of Santa liosu presented a protest of the citizens of this county against releasing John (iinochio, who is serving three years for manslaughter for shooting J. L. Burger to death on July 3, 1805. The protest is made by Mrs. June Edwards, the daughter of tho murdered man. It is signed by over COO residents of Mendocino county who believe that the verdict should have been murder instead of manslaughter. Seven of the jurors who returned tho verdict liayo also signod the protest.He Staid With the Bargain.
