Tlie New Holland Murder.The full particulars of the strange tragedy *t New Holland, last Tuesday ni^ht, which Ireaulted in the death of “Cline” Shipley, the ten year old son of Evan S. Shipley, *re given ‘bjrpnr correspondent.“Colonel” West, the colored man who :perpetrated the singular and unaccountable •crime, was brought to this city, Wednesday afternoon, and committed to jail. West is a mulatto, born a slave in Rockbridge •county, Va., and claims to be 60 years of •age. He came to Ohio in 1865, and has since then lived in different parts of Ohio, Michigan and Indiana. He came to New Holland, last winter, from Fayette county, hired to J. D. Miller, as cook at the Hearn House and has since continued under the proprietorship of John Adkins.
