Riley Hobson had Jutlt Albertson arrested for stealing hogs ; but the case was not sus-i taioed. It took two days to get through with this trial. No sooner bad the 'Squire disposed of it than an application i was made tor the arrest of Silas Math- { ews and Clark Harvey, for an assault j with attempt to commit a rape on the person of Eliza Jane Wnghtsiuan. The case was sustained, and the young, voluptuous rascals fined ten dollars each and the costs in the case.
