Western Ave., and David Richard Bruno, 26, of 82 Franklin St.Bruno was under guard at Alien Memorial Hospital where he was taken after police suspected, he was suffering from the effects of drug use.According to police, the break-in was discovered about 9:25 p.m., when a police-officer was checking a rear door at Robert Drug, 621 Sycamore St.The officer said he found a door glass had-been broken and when he peered into the building he saw two men inside.He said he called for assistance and soon after police surrounded the building and ordered the man to come out.Bruno complied with the order but Shea remained inside where he shouted, “I’m notcoming out. I've' got a gun and I’ll shoot the first man who comes in.”POLICE SAID they then tossed in the tear gas eannister and Shea stumbled out of the store about five minutes later.Authorities said they called for Shea to surrender for about 15 minutes before using the tear gas.Shea was later booked on suspicion of breaking and entering and resisting arrest while Bruno was arrested on a complaint of breaking and entering.Police said they found several bottles of prescription drugs in Bruno’s jacket pocket and a plastic pail filled with drugs inside the store.THE STORE had also been broken into Saturday night, police said. It was not known if anything was taken in that break-in.Police said there was evidence that someone had attempted to break into the nearby. Bride Beautiful shop, 615 Sycamore St., over the weekend.
