ROSWELL, Nov. 18 i/p)—JamesOliver Morgan, 52, of El Paso today was ordered to stand trial here Nov. 24 on murder charges in the Memorial Day slaying cf a Hatchofficer.Morgan is to stand trill here on a change of venue from Dona Ana County in the slaying of Deputy Sheriff Ralph Higginbotham.Other action in the opening of the November session of court before Dist. Judge George T. Harris ;was a plea of guilty by Dimples Smith to a second degree murder .Charge. Sentencing was deferred.! Judge Harris set Nov. 21 for trial of Leroy Grant, also charged I with murder. Grant and Smith, were arrested on separate killing charges. Both fatalities occurred in the same bar on the same day, last April 12.
