D., indicated today religious convictions acquired since her stay In jail will cause her to fight charges she participated in the kidnaping of a Minnesota sheriff.Miss Kaiser, held with John Nagle Pape and George Franklin Heck inthe kidnaping of Sheriff Oscar Hang of Norman county; said that since attending meetings conducted by four women members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses faith, she feels she cannot plead guilty “just to get out of Jail.William H. Gunrnee, St. Paul, appointed by the court as her attorney said he could not advise hn- to enter th? guilty plea despite her earlier inclination to do just that. If she pleads innocent, her case will be tried in the January term of federal court at FergusFalls.Both Heck and Pape, who have been convicted in the kidnaping, may be called as defense witnesses, Gurnee said. They are now in the Minnesota state prison.Pape and Heck escaped from the Washington state reformatory and went on a crime spree, taking the girl with them. The climax came when Sheriff Bang and a deputy sought to arrest them, but were tied to a tree while the fugitives escaped in the sheriff's car. After staging a holdup at Robbins-dale, the trio were arrested in Chi-:ago and returned to Minnesota to face charges.
