At Boyne Falls, George Vallance shot at .T. K. Mitchell ami supposing he had killed him, Vallance immediately gave himself up to the authorities. The ball, however, took a I much less dangerous course than Vallance supposed, only wounding Mitchell in the hand. The prisoner was held in $1:200 bonds, but he could not furnished sureties, so was taken to jail. The quarrel was of long standing, and over some business i transaction.
